Naive Seascape with embroidered flowers
Size 16" x 20"
A fun and very detailed painting of an imaginary seascape using acrylic paints, stuck on sequins for the waves of the sea, and embroidered flowers such as hollyhock and roses using various embroidery stitches. I have also sewn on beads and real shells. I have lovingly spent many hours embroidering various flowers onto the canvas using French knots, bullion stitch, rose stitch and spider stitch. The painting is painted around the sides ready to hang on the wall without the need to frame
