The canvas has initially been layered with newspaper and moulding plaster cloth and painted over in acrylics with splashes of ink. I have also used stamps for the pavement The painting is painted around the sides ready to hang. I have also used imitation copper leaf on the building.
Size 24" x 12" on Canvas
This quirky, naive painting of London Place in the South of Oxford isof particular interest to me as a subject and place as I partly grew up here often staying with my grandmother while at college as she lived in London place along with other family members in various of the Victorian attached houses. This is a painting of a winter scene with snow using mixed media on canvas. I have used cut out map music for the leaves of the tree as well as imitation copper and silver leaf for the windows and bear trees at the from. There is a rich rough texture for the snow. The painting is painted around the sides ready to hang or it can be framed if preferred.
25.5 x 10" on Canvas
Painted in acrylics on canvas. I know this area well with the row of Victorian houses in London place where I often visited my grandmother and where my uncle and is family live in one and my aunt lives in another so painting this scene evokes many memories for me
Size 70 cm x 50 cm on Canvas
A very vibrant background to the Radcliffe Camera in Oxford where I spent much of my school and adult years so I love to paint Oxford scenes. I have used various techniques for this painting and have also used mixed media such as painted recycled maps and stamps as well as imitation leaf on the painting. The painting is painted around the sides ready to hang on the wall or it can be framed if preferred
The Radcliffe Camera is an original mixed media and collage painting on 300 gsm watercolour paper using acrylics, artificial gold and silver leaf and torn up newspaper and other paper which has been painted over to give extra interest and texture to the painting. I have also used three dimensional acrylics on the tree. The painting is sold un mounted and un framed and will be sent flat packed in thick card board with free postage to the UK .
